Divin is the official name for Moldova's protected national spirit. It is a high-quality aged brandy produced using a similar traditional method as Cognac, but made exclusively in Moldova from local wine distillates. By law, it must be aged for at least three years in oak barrels. The name "Divin" is both a generic term for the product and a state-owned trademark, ensuring its authenticity and geographic origin.
